In addition to being a bodyworker and healer, I'm a Lecoq-trained physical performer and theater maker. I'm deeply fascinated in the clown's cathartic ability to reveal the poignant and hilarious truths of what it means to be human. For over five years, I've been working as a pediatric hospital clown with Big Apple Circus, Healthy Humor and Laughter League in NYC where I go by the name Dr. Petunia Bloom. In 2018, I developed and toured her full-length solo clown show, Penelope the Clown presents Yay America!, across the East Coast. At PortFringe, it won the Critic's Choice Award, and at Fringe PVD. At Fringe PVD, it won the award of “Most Likely to Cause Whiplash over American Democracy”.
