Is massage just for relaxation?
No, it's not just for relaxation though my massages all have this inherent benefit. Relaxation is essential to the body's healing and recovery process. Promoting the body's parasympathetic response naturally encourages the body to recharge and heal itself. For this reason, I try to make every session as relaxing as possible. Massage is equally great for strains, sprains, tendonitis, muscle stiffness, muscle tension, muscle spasm, stress management, and trauma recovery. Soft tissue treatment (aka massage) also helps a variety of postural disorders.
Do I have to be completely undressed during a massage?
No, it isn't necessary. I encourage you to undress to your comfort level. This means different things for different people. Please notify me of your preferences beforehand.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand that life is unpredictable so one reschedule is allowed. It must be requested via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 24 hours from the date of your appointment. Failure to request within this timeframe forfeits your deposit. I understand people get sick and emergencies occur but I cannot provide flexibility on this matter unless in the case of extreme unforeseen circumstances.
What is your lateness policy?
If you are running late to an appointment, please let me know ASAP. I cannot extend the session time out of respect for my other clients. The full session fee is expected. If you decide to cancel or reschedule the appointment, you forfeit your deposit.
Do I have to tip?
Tipping is not mandatory but 15-20% is polite if you enjoyed your massage experience.
